Building together instead of individually
- We build and live together because we are sure that community makes us strong and creates meaning!
- We want to create communal areas for togetherness and interaction within the housing project and in the neighbourhood. This could be a roof terrace, workshop or workspace, for example. We want to finance these spaces collectively.
- We would like to set up a food co-op that can be used by all neighbours.
- It is important to us to actively participate in a lively and supportive neighbourhood – even beyond our housing project.
Social interaction with and for each other
- For us, building and living in a community means treating each other with solidarity and consideration. We want to exchange ideas and at the same time leave room to withdraw.
- We want to learn from and with each other and develop as a group. Nobody has to know everything. A willingness to learn new things is enough!
- We try to create an environment in which it is possible to openly express one’s own expectations and boundaries.
- We currently meet monthly, drive the construction process forward and exchange ideas. In order to incorporate as many perspectives as possible, we would like you to actively participate in the meetings – within the scope of your possibilities.
- We strive for respectful cooperation. We realise that living together is never possible without arguments and conflicts. But when we argue, we want to learn from it! We believe that many conflicts can be resolved if everyone involved listens to and respects each other. To this end, we are still working on a ‘conflict roadmap’.
- We want to live together with few fixed rules. Nevertheless, we want to adhere to certain values and manners for good co-operation. This includes treating each other with respect and appreciation and ensuring that discrimination and violence have no place here! To this end, we have agreed on rules for living together that we want to actively live by.
- Diversity is welcome here! We want to be as heterogeneous (colourful) a community as possible.
Political commitment
- We want to create affordable living space for as many people as possible, regardless of their budget. Our aim is to promote the communalisation of living space.
- We manage and organise our own housing. You are tenant and landlord at the same time. It’s work, but it’s also a lot of fun!
- We want to build and live as ecologically as possible. We want to make sustainable behaviour as easy as possible.
- We see ourselves as a project that is constantly learning. We want to continue to educate ourselves and deal with socio-political issues.
- We think it’s great when people get involved politically and culturally – both inside and outside the construction project. However, we also know that it is possible to get involved in different ways depending on your life situation.
Money and finances
- We deliberately avoid private residential property and speculation. That is why we are realising our project as a cooperative.
- In order to reduce financial barriers, we are developing a solidarity model for which we are raising direct loans or solidarity cooperative shares from supporters.
- With the funds from the solidarity model, we want to support individual households in raising their own contribution and, if possible, lower the hurdles for everyone.
